Welcome to my career portfolio! My name is Rachel Barton and I graduated
in May of 2008 from Arizona State University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with my two areas
of concentration in mass communications as well as tourism development and management.

Meaning Of Work
When I think of work I think of several different things; money, motivation, and meaning. Work is obviously an
important part of our society and our everyday lives. Work is an essential part of survival today. Most people are
motivated to find work in order to make money because, no matter what we like to think, money does make the world go around.
But no matter how much money we make, and how high our salaries might be, if there is no meaning in our work money won't
make us happy. I believe that in order for you to be successful in life you must be happy in all walks of life.
Work can be tedious and tiring at times. If you can find something you are passionate about, it will make work worthwhile
and you will not loose your drive. You will find that work can be rewarding to you and you will strive to do a better
job.
